The Branch Christian Academy officially started classes today. Kids were everywhere. Parents were taking pictures and the best teachers in Charlotte are prepared to make this a great year!
I remember the things I loved about school. Fresh school supplies, the playground, new clothes and good friends. I loved History and Science. I played soccer, tennis and dodgeball. Now, I get to see my daughter experience all this and it makes me quite nostalgic.
Those days are long gone for most of us, but we are still in need of a teacher.
Psalm 25:4 (MSG) says, Show me how you work, God; School me in your ways.
Jesus said he would send the Holy Spirit to live in us (John 14:15-26) and He is well able to prepare you for anything, but you have to cooperate with Him. His ways are found in His Word. Get your Bible out and let Him speak to you about your life. Don't just hear it and walk away. Live it!
Colossians 2:6 (MSG) says, My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.
