Add To Everything

Sarah is in Nashville, Tennessee this week with a group of ladies from the Branch. They are there to serve Mercy Ministries and learn more about how we can help the new Mercy home in Charlotte.

That puts me in charge of Caroline and Kate, but Sarah is great about leaving me little notes stuck in strategic locations so I will remember important stuff like feeding, bathing and school. To date we have had pizza and breakfast for dinner so I'm batting 1000 with the girls!

This morning I forgot Kate's diaper bag, but alas, there was no note for this detail. These notes are vital to my existence while Sarah is gone. Typically, I store my memory in my wife and she is always there to call on. When she is gone the notes act like an external hard drive that I can access in her absence. If only the hard drive had been previously loaded with... "DIAPER BAG!"

God's good about important little notes too. Some of my favorite scriptures are like Sarah's notes... Short, to the point and screaming out life changing instruction. 1 Corinthians 16:14 is just such a verse. It says, "And do everything with love." The Message simply states. "And love without stopping."

You can add that one verse to every To Do list or little reminder that helps you make it through your day.
  1. Get Milk
  2. Pick up the dry cleaning
  3. Feed the fish
  4. Be more thankful for your wife
  5. Tithe
  6. Vote for Kris
  7. And do everything with love!
